About the Instructor: Dr. Puram Praveen is an Assistant Professor at IIT Hyderabad with a PhD in Decision Sciences and Operations Management from IIM Kozhikode. His research work predominantly involves simplifying complex datasets, and analyzing them to get actionable business insights. He has taught courses such as Business Analytics, Business Statistics, and Visual Analytics, and brings industry experience from Larsen & Toubro Construction where he worked on large-scale infrastructure projects. His teaching blends academic rigor with practical applications, helping students see how data analytics drives meaningful decisions. His research focuses on applying advanced analytics, such as text mining, survival analysis, and interpretable machine learning, to domains like food delivery, sports, and logistics. With research publications in leading journals and expertise in data analytics tools, Dr.Praveen equips learners with both technical skills and real-world insights.
